NH State Loan Repayment Program

Loan Repayment Opportunity

In addition to offering competitive compensation and benefits individually tailored to your needs, loan repayment is available at many locations. New Hampshire's Provider Loan Repayment Program allows you to reduce your education-related debt by practicing in areas of the state where your skills are most needed and appreciated.

The program is available to physicians who practice in the specialties of:

    Family Practice
    Internal Medicine
    Pediatrics
    OB/GYN
The program is also available to Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Physician Assistants. You may opt to practice in federally-designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) or in Medically-Underserved Areas (MUA) or Medically-Underserved Populations (MUP). Opportunities range from a large inner-city health center to small rural health agencies throughout New Hampshire.

The State of New Hampshire will help repay up to $20,000 per year for a two-year commitment for primary care physicians and up to $10,000 per year for a two-year commitment for ARNPs, CNMs and PAs for academic and medical school loans still outstanding at the time you enter into contract with the state. A prorated loan repayment schedule is followed if you work less than full time. Applications are funded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
